Winslow Style Privacy Policy

How We Protect Your Personal Information

Welcome to Winslow Style. Your privacy is incredibly important to us, and we are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you visit our website, https://www.staging4.winslowstyle.com.

By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.

1. Who We Are

Our website, https://www.staging4.winslowstyle.com, is the online home of our men’s custom tailoring and styling service, proudly located in Sydney’s North Shore. With over 17 years of experience and qualifications in fashion design, styling, and retail, I bring a deep passion for menswear clothing to every piece we create.

From our cozy studio in St. Leonards, we specialise in crafting exceptional made-to-measure suits, shirts, pants, vests, and men’s accessories. We offer a complete men’s styling solution, expertly catering to all body types for weddings, formals, black-tie events, and any special occasion. We pride ourselves on delivering a truly boutique and personalised customer experience, working by appointment only to ensure you receive our undivided attention. While we’re quite flexible with booking times to suit your schedule, we do get booked out quickly, so I recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. We look forward to seeing you soon and helping you look your absolute best.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information that helps us provide and improve our services to you.

2.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide

When you interact with our website, you might provide us with personal information. This includes:

  • Comments: When you leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form. We also note your IP address and browser user agent string. This helps us with spam detection.

    • A note about Gravatar: An anonymized string (called a hash) created from your email address might be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you’re using it. You can find their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment.

  • Account Registration (if applicable): If you register an account on our website, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. This typically includes your name and email address.

  • Consultation & Service Requests: When you reach out to us for a consultation, book an appointment, or enquire about our custom suits, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and details related to your style preferences or wedding plans. This helps us understand your needs and provide you with personalised service.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our site, some non-personal information is automatically collected, such as:

  • Technical Data: This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and details about your device. This helps us optimise our website for different devices and browsers.

  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our website, including pages viewed, time spent on pages, and navigation paths. This helps us understand what content is most popular and how we can improve your Browse experience.

3. Media

If you choose to upload images to our website (for example, in comments if enabled, or as part of a profile), we kindly ask that you avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). This is because visitors to the website could potentially download and extract this location data from any images uploaded to the site. Your privacy is important to us, so we recommend being mindful of what information is embedded in your media.

4. Cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies to enhance your experience. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.

  • Comment Cookies: If you leave a comment on our site, you have the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are purely for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter your details for future comments. These cookies will remain on your device for one year.

  • Login Cookies: If you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This temporary cookie doesn’t contain any personal data and is removed when you close your browser. When you log in, we also set up a few cookies to remember your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will stay active for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

  • Article Editing Cookies: If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited and contains no personal data. It expires after 1 day.

  • Performance & Analytics Cookies: We may also use cookies from third parties to understand how our website is used and to deliver customised content. This helps us analyze trends, administer the website, and improve your overall experience. This information is typically not linked to any personal data that could identify you.

You can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer, though some parts of our website might not function as intended without them.

5. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Our articles and pages may sometimes include embedded content from other websites (for example, videos from YouTube, images from Instagram, or articles from news sites). When you view embedded content, it behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited the other website directly.

Please be aware that these external websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content. This includes tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that particular website. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you access through our site.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and Manage Services: To fulfill your requests for custom suits, consultations, and other services. This includes communicating with you about your orders and appointments.

  • Communicate with You: To respond to your comments, questions, and requests, and to send you updates or information about our services (if you have opted in).

  • With Your Consent: When you give us explicit permission to do so.

  • Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers and contractors who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or providing services to you (e.g., payment processors, hosting providers, or shipping partners). These parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

  • Legal Requirements: If we are required to share your personal information to comply with the law, a court order, or a subpoena.

  • Business Protection: When it is necessary to protect the safety and security of you, other users, or our website and business.

We may share non-personally identifiable information (like anonymous usage data) with third parties to help them understand website usage patterns, but this information cannot be used to identify you personally.

8. How Long We Retain Your Data

We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with our services, operate our business, and comply with our legal obligations.

  • Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its associated data are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically, rather than holding them in a moderation queue.

  • Registered Users: For users who register an account on our website (if applicable), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of their username). Our website administrators can also see and edit that information.

  • Service & Consultation Data: Information related to your consultations and purchases is retained for a period necessary to manage our business relationship with you, process any warranties, and for accounting and legal purposes.

9. What Rights You Have Over Your Data

You have important rights regarding your personal data. We are committed to helping you exercise these rights:

  • Access Your Data: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. This includes any data you have provided to us.

  • Correct Your Data: You can access and amend your personal information at any time in the ‘My Account’ section when you log in. Please let us know if any personal information we hold about you is not accurate, complete, or up-to-date.

  • Request Erasure: You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. Please note that this right does not apply to any data we are legally obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

  • Opt-Out of Marketing: You can opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.

To make any of these requests, please contact us using the details provided below.

10. Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments on our website may be checked through an automated spam detection service to help keep our comments section clean and secure.

Please be aware that some of our third-party service providers (as mentioned in Section 7) may be located outside of Australia. While this is necessary to provide you with our services, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with Australian privacy laws.

11. Third Party Links

Our website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, or applications. When you click on these links, you may be allowing third parties to collect or share data about you. We want to be clear that Winslow Style has no responsibility or liability for the content or privacy practices of these external websites. We strongly encourage you to read the privacy notices and policies of any third-party websites you visit.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
